Our ambition is to make our 5 campuses fulfilling and successful places to live for everyone. We are committed to a strong social policy, and pay close attention to the balance between professional and personal life, as well as to the comfort of our staff in their workstations and workplaces.

Promoting equality, inclusion and diversity

Creating a place for professional success and personal fulfillment means combating precariousness, particularly among students. A number of schemes have been set up to help students in difficulty build their professional and personal projects, including financial aid, a healthcare access network and community grocery stores.

Putting solidarity to work

Sustainable development is a priority and a new stage in our strategy. We have a dedicated department and a Climate Council. With them, we are driving forward an ambitious roadmap and policies, which are translated into concrete actions in all our communities.

Our commitments

amU, a socially committed university

As a qualified financial manager, I am at the heart of the university's financial management process. My role is to apply the directives of central services while processing requests for expenses, materials, travel, conferences and other costs. I must ensure that expenditure complies with accounting rules and contracts. My work also includes rigorous control of requests and careful verification to ensure that funds are properly managed. As a financial manager, I contribute to the certification of the university's accounts and help direct requests efficiently.

Elodie Pico

I'm a project manager in amU's major projects department, where I oversee construction and renovation projects for university buildings, in line with amU's strategy of low energy consumption and high environmental standards. I play a key role in coordinating and mobilizing the various stakeholders, ensuring that project schedules are kept to and that the public budgets allocated to real estate operations are properly managed.

Emilien Rousset

I'm a chemical engineer who began my career in the private sector before joining the university on a research contract. Since 2001, I've been working on analytical chemistry projects, particularly in the environmental and health fields. I enjoy the diversity of the projects, the scientific curiosity they arouse, and the training of the students.

The Mediterranean, at the heart of contemporary issues, is an experimental laboratory for understanding current affairs, and a regional space for the future. From the outset, we should point out that the conception of the Mediterranean and its limits vary according to scientific, economic or political viewpoints. There are three main ways of defining the Mediterranean, which will be at the heart of the Cité de la Méditerranée.
