Elodie Pico

As a qualified financial manager, I am at the heart of the university's financial management process. My role is to apply the directives of central services while processing requests for expenses, materials, travel, conferences and other costs. I must ensure that expenditure complies with accounting rules and contracts. My work also includes rigorous control of requests and careful verification to ensure that funds are properly managed. As a financial manager, I contribute to the certification of the university's accounts and help direct requests efficiently.

My career path: I started out with technical studies, obtaining a BTS in management assistant and a bachelor's degree in management of new technologies. In 2008, I was aiming for a career in the private sector, but in 2014, I joined the university by chance for an administrative management position in a laboratory. It was only with time that I discovered the value of my work and chose to specialize in financial management.
How did I join AMU?: My arrival at the university was completely fortuitous in 2014, when I accepted a position in a laboratory for practical reasons linked to parental leave. At the time, I didn't even know that the university was looking for people with my profile. It's thanks to the flexibility and encouragement of my colleagues that I've progressed in this field.
My areas of expertise: My areas of expertise include financial management within the university, expense control and verification, and the application of accounting guidelines. I am particularly proficient in processing various expenditure requests, ensuring compliance with accounting rules, and managing budgets while maintaining constant rigor. My experience has been enriched by specific training courses and close collaboration with my colleagues.
