A smooth, transparent, humane process

Looking for a job is an important moment in a candidate's life. We are aware of this, and are committed to offering a recruitment process that is fluid, transparent and resolutely human. Candidate experience is at the heart of our thinking. We do our best to limit the number of interviews and thus speed up this process.

Pre-qualification interview

This is an initial telephone interview lasting around twenty minutes, the purpose of which is to check the match between the expectations of the position and the candidate's background and expectations. The discussion focuses on motivation for the position, understanding of its missions, the key skills required to fulfill them, the level of remuneration and the length of the contract. This exchange is also an opportunity to briefly present Aix-Marseille Université's employment policy and career support for its staff. References may be requested.

Maintenance

Have you been selected after the telephone interview? Then you'll be invited to an interview lasting around 45 minutes, in person, on one of our campuses. You'll meet our HR teams and your future manager. This interview will enable us to assess the compatibility between your background, the proposed position and the culture of Aix-Marseille University. It will also enable us to assess your personal and professional qualities and answer any questions you may have about your role, the university and your career prospects, to ensure that the job offer matches your career objectives.

The candidate experience at the heart of the process

Careful monitoring of the process

Attentive to the experience of our candidates, we ensure the best possible follow-up of their application, from our first exchanges to the potential validation of the recruitment. All candidates who apply for a vacancy receive a response from us.

Easier integration

Aix-Marseille Université has set up a dedicated induction program for new staff. This process lasts for up to a year after taking up the post. It involves a welcome, regular monitoring, a feedback report and recommended training courses.

Mobilized HR teams

Our recruitment teams keep abreast of best recruitment practices. Training sessions and sharing of best practices are organized with national organizations. Recruiters meet on a regular basis to discuss how they do things, question their practices and develop them for the benefit of candidates.

An inclusive and dynamic employer

Internal mobility in the spotlight

Facilitating the internal mobility of our BIATSS staff (civil servants and contract employees) is a driving force behind the university's HR policy, and a key factor in their professional development. As a result, 45% of our vacancies are open to internal mobility. Campus HR departments are available to provide local support and advice to staff in their career development and internal mobility.

A strong disability policy

Aix-Marseille Université has a highly committed disability policy. As such, it pays close attention to providing local support for its employees with disabilities. Since 2018, AMU has been an employer under agreement with the Fonds pour l'Insertion des Personnels en situation de Handicap dans la Fonction Publique (Fiphfp).
