Prevention and health

The "Prevention and Health" professions are organized around two departments: the Service Universitaire de Médecine de Prévention des Personnels (SUMPP) and the Service Universitaire de Santé Étudiante (SSE). Together, these departments work to ensure the health and well-being of all university staff and students.

SUMPP is dedicated to staff health, working on four campuses: Luminy, Saint-Jérôme and Saint-Charles in Marseille, and Schuman in Aix-en-Provence. Its main mission is to prevent any deterioration in the health of employees linked to their working environment. The diversity of work situations within the university makes this a rich and stimulating exercise. SUMPP teams are made up of specialized health professionals such as occupational physicians, occupational health nurses, occupational psychologists and medical secretaries.

The SSE, on the other hand, is entirely dedicated to student health. Present on the same campuses, it has a dual mission: prevention and care. In terms of prevention, the SSE assists students with disabilities and carries out actions on a variety of themes, including sexual health, addictions and mental health. In terms of healthcare, the SSE has two health centers in Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, offering consultations with general practitioners, psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists and other health professionals. All these players are committed on a daily basis to improving students' quality of life and supporting them throughout their university career.
